It’s raining ninjas…
NARUTO is a manga by Masashi Kishimoto with an anime TV series and several movies spin-off adaptations.
The story plot-line follows the life of a boy named Uzumaki Naruto who is feared and detested by the villagers of the Hidden Leaf village of Konoha. The distrust and strong feeling of dislike toward the boy has little to do with the boy himself but what resides inside of him.
Twelve years before the starting point of the series, a supernatural creature called Kyuubi (nine-tailed beast fox) attacked the ninja village and with great fury caused vast destruction and took many lives. A battle took place then and the Kyuubi defeated by the Fourth Hokage, leader of the village and their strongest ninja. However this victory had a great cost, Yondaime (the Fourth Hokage) sealed the beast in a newly born baby, Naruto.
Years pass by and Naruto grows shun away by the villagers without being given an explanation, now a teenager he longs to create bonds with people and aims towards becoming the new Hokage, the strongest of all ninjas. In his journey he will learn the meaning of being a ninja trough a path filled with victories, losses, friendship, betrayal, love and pain.
This mange currently counts over 500 chapters compiled in about 50 to date, while the anime TV adaptation hoards close to 200 episodes covering most of the mange plotline and with the addition of anime-only episodes otherwise called filler-arcs.
About 8 franchise movies have been released along a couple of OVAs as well as large propagated variety of products ranging from key chains to toys or plushies not only converting Naruto into an extremely popular topic among followers easily accessible to broad audience but also in one of the most fructuous industries in the anime and manga world.
